Tiffany Marie Ballard writes to awaken curiosity, celebrate individuality, and inspire positive, productive change for the betterment of the world we share.

Her love of expression began early. In seventh grade, she became a published poet with “This World,” written under her childhood name, Tiffany Marie Richards. Basketball brought another avenue for growth, earning her a scholarship and MVP recognition while strengthening the perseverance that would shape her later pursuits.

At Florida Keys Community College, Tiffany’s curiosity led her into marine science and beneath the surface of the Caribbean Sea. A Wyland scholarship recipient, she participated in a two-week reef-fish field study in Bonaire with Dr. Rice, Dr. Alex Brylske, Professor Lana, and fellow students. Scuba diving and surveying marine life gave her a firsthand connection to the intricate ecosystems that help inspire Ocean Guardians.

Her commitment to making a difference also extended to her work as a Key West business owner. Through TM Jewelry LLC, she joined fellow small businesses in a successful legal challenge to Florida’s credit card surcharge law, contributing to a case centered on freedom of speech.
These experiences bring perspective and purpose to Ocean Guardians, Key West RATZ, and Coconut Mittens. Her stories invite readers to explore unfamiliar worlds, appreciate their own abilities, and consider what they can contribute.

Whether through an act of kindness, a thoughtful question, or an invention yet to be imagined, Tiffany believes each of us has something valuable to offer—and the ability to turn discovery into meaningful change.
